Participants will

  • Process a Mock Crime Scene
  • Visit the Tucson Police Department Crime Lab
  • Sit in on proceedings at Arizona Superior Court
  • Interact with professionals from the scientific and forensic community

  • Dates July 13-17, 2009
    • Mon-Fri 9am-5pm
  • Cost is $215 per student** (includes a non-refundable $75 deposit due at registration)

Workshop Instructors:

This summer's workshop is coordinated by Barbara Fransway, a Senior Research Specialist and Biotechnology Education and Outreach Coordinator with Arizona Research Labs. Daily guest lectures will also be presented from university and community professionals.

* Students and their families will be responsible for transportation to and from the University of Arizona campus daily.

* Overnight accommodations are not provided by the University of Arizona and, if needed, must be arranged separately by the student and their family.

* Lunch will be provided 1 day. For the other 4 days students and their families are responsible for either bringing a sack lunch or money for lunch on campus. Students will be escorted as a group to the University of Arizona student union and UMC cafeteria for lunch on these days.
